Narrow Mobile Expandable Container House - Eco-Friendly & Rapid Assembly

Narrow Expandable Container House is a prefabricated steel structure modular building. It consists of a central fixed cabin with single or double side fold-out wing cabins. When folded for transportation, its width is only 0.70 meters, much narrower than the standard 2.4-meter-wide container, and 6 units can be loaded into one 40ft high cube container. After on-site horizontal expansion, the width reaches 4.8 meters, with the usable area increased by 2 to 3 times, perfectly combining compact transportation size and practical living space. Featuring narrow-width transport, on-site expansion, full pre-furnishing, low cost and high flexibility, it serves as an ideal modular housing solution for cross-border export, construction on narrow sites and temporary accommodation.

1. Factory Pre-fabrication

• Frame Fabrication: Weld steel structures to form the central main cabin and foldable wing cabins. Conduct anti-corrosion, rust-proofing and surface painting treatment.
• Wall Installation: Mount fireproof & thermal insulation sandwich panels and exterior claddings, and complete waterproofing and sealing work.
• Interior Completion: Pre-install doors, windows, flooring, ceiling, kitchen & sanitary facilities, water & electrical pipelines, lights and switches for full interior finishing.
• Mechanism Commissioning: Assemble manual/hydraulic expansion systems and locking parts. Test folding and expanding repeatedly to ensure stable operation.
• Fold & Lock: Fold the wing cabins inward and fasten all locks to switch to narrow transport mode, then conduct factory inspection.

2. Logistics & Transportation

• Loading: Load the folded units (0.7m width) into 40ft HC container, 6 units per container.
• Delivery: Transport goods to destination via sea or land freight.
• Unloading: Unload units with cranes or forklifts and transfer to the construction site.

3. On-site Deployment & Installation

• Site Preparation: Clear and level the ground. Lay simple concrete foundation or support bases as required.
• Positioning: Hoist the folded house to the designated position and level it accurately.
• Unlock & Expand: Release transport locks, then expand the wing cabins manually or hydraulically to full size.
• Reinforcement: Fasten all connecting joints, support legs and locking devices to strengthen the overall structure.
• Connection & Commissioning: Connect external water and power supply. Inspect pipelines, electrical systems and functional facilities.
• Handover: The house is ready for use after final acceptance.
